Nancy O'Dell's first position in the broadcasting industry was as a reporter/anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She later worked as anchor of the morning news and as a crime reporter at WCBD-TV. The work of O'Dell on the streets of Charleston about the police's leniency toward DUI cases has led to an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the incidents. In the year 2000, Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell with an award for the Best Report of the year Award to the entire South Carolina media. Following her stint living in Charleston, O'Dell worked as anchor for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV as well as an investigative journalist. After that, she became a part of Access Hollywood to work as a weekday and weekend correspondent. O'Dell anchors the main newscast at Access Hollywood. In addition, she contributes for NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She's been a reporter for the Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted various pre-show arrivals shows in preparation for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. She has also hosted The Miss America Pageant as well as the Miss USA Pageant and Miss Universe.
